We will be presenting three workshops on Friday to get you started with different areas of WordPress.<\/p>\n
What you will learn<\/strong> – You will learn the basics of designing and creating a WordPress theme and will be able to get yourself started on the way to creating custom websites with WordPress.<\/p>\n What you should know<\/strong> – You should have a basic understanding of how to use WordPress to manage a site, and beginner knowledge in using HTML, CSS, and design principles.<\/p>\n What you will learn<\/strong> – You will learn the basics of getting down and dirty in WordPress development to start developing more advanced functionality for WordPress themes and plugins.<\/p>\n What you should know<\/strong> – You should have a basic understanding of how to use WordPress to manage a site, and a beginner to moderate knowledge in HTML, CSS, and PHP.<\/p>\n What you will learn<\/strong> – You will learn the very basics of using WordPress from what it is, what it can do for you, and the principles of managing your first WordPress site. You will then advance to learn topics about customizing your site through the use of plugins and themes.<\/p>\n What you should know<\/strong> – You should know that you want to have a website and what a website is. The beginnings of this course will start out with the very basic principles and then advance on to ways you can customize your site with settings, plugins, and themes.<\/p>\n Workshops will run from 9am – 3pm. Times below are relative. Some topics may last longer than others and may be talked about earlier or later.
