This session is part 1 of the full day immersion track in which we get an example project, plan it out, and develop a website, learning all about the ins and outs along the way.

Session 1: All the steps that go into beginning a website development project: discovery, content architecture, build planning.

In this session we will introduce our project, create a timeline for our client, and identify content structure needs. We will thoroughly explore the types of content in WordPress, what they do, and when you should use them. Understanding how to structure content in WordPress is an invaluable skill to have whether you are a user, themer, developer, project manager etc – and no matter what level you are at, you are going to understand these concepts and be ready to apply them to your next project!

We will be discovering and implementing content types for a made-up project, but you are welcome to bring your own content and theme ideas and work on them alongside us.
