Part 2 of Building a custom WordPress theme! We will identify the CRITICAL parts of a WordPress theme, and then move on to the extras that make themeing so fun! We will be using the excellent (and free) _s “underscores” starter theme as our foundation, and then integrate our static site design into a fully functioning WordPress theme.<\/p>\n

This session picks up where Themeing 1 leaves off. Here we check out the excellent Underscores (_s) starter theme and build out static site into it. We discuss the various ways of including files for the most efficient and organized theme. We also explore _s specific functionality put in place to make your life a whole lot easier when creating your custom theme. <\/p>\n
